Frequently Asked Questions
How does the diagnostic fee work?
Diagnostic visits are billed separately. The fee covers the technician's on-site time spent diagnosing the issue. It is not applied toward the cost of the repair.
How much does a brake job cost?
Brake labor is about $150 per hour. Most standard front or rear brake jobs average around $300, depending on the vehicle and the complexity of the repair. We confirm the price before any work begins.
Can I supply my own parts?
Yes. Customer-supplied parts are welcome. Please note that labor charges still apply even if a supplied part is incorrect, defective, or fails during installation.
What areas do you serve?
We serve The Villages, Ocala, Gainesville, Summerfield, Wildwood, Reddick, Silver Springs, Chiefland, and Homosassa, within about a 50-mile radius. Farther locations may require additional travel planning.
What can be done on-site?
Most routine maintenance and common repairs are done at your location, including brakes, steering and suspension, oil changes, and general mechanical work. Because we work without a vehicle lift, some larger engine and transmission jobs are limited to what can be completed from the ground. We will tell you upfront whether your repair is a good fit.
Are you licensed and insured?
Yes. Where You're At - Mobile Automotive is licensed and insured.
